Continuing Undergraduate Student Financial Aid Information

January

January 1, 2017
Reminder: January 1 is the priority filing date for the 2017-2018 FAFSA. To receive priority consideration for maximum institutional and campus-based assistance this form must be processed by the federal government by this date. For students attending college July 1, 2017–June 30, 2018 students will be able to file the FAFSA on October 1, 2016, using 2015 income tax data. If eligible, students and parents (if applicable), should use the FAFSA IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT). After filing the FAFSA, New York State residents should complete the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application at hesc.ny.gov. Adelphi’s state code is 0010.
January 6, 2017
Payment is due in full for Spring 2017. If you are participating in the Two-Payment Plan option, the first payment for Spring 2017 is due. You can make a payment and view your bill on eCampus.
January 23, 2017
Spring 2017 semester classes begin.

March

If you filed your 2017-2018 FAFSA, requests for additional documentation required to complete the application process will be mailed to the student if needed. Prompt submission of all requested documentation is necessary to avoid delays that may impact your eligibility for institutional and campus-based assistance. If eligible, you should use the FAFSA IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT). Continuing students who have filed the FAFSA and who have completed all application requirements will begin to receive their Financial Plan Summary (Award Letter).
March 15, 2017
If you are participating in the Two-Payment Plan option, the second payment is due for Spring 2017.

The New York State Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS) application is due for Spring 2017.

March 20, 2017
Registration begins for Summer 2017 for undergraduate students.

April

Notify the Office of Student Financial Services if you are planning to attend the Summer 2017 semester and want to be considered for federal student loans and/or the Federal Pell Grant.

Correspondence is sent to students regarding the Monthly Tuition Pay Plan option for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Registration begins for Fall 2017 for undergraduate students. (See Academic Calendar for specific registration dates.) 

May

Payment is due in full for students registered for Summer Session I. You can make a payment and view your bill on eCampus. Refer to your bill for specific dates.

The application to request a Federal Direct Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) for the 2017-2018 academic year is available at studentloans.gov.

May 18, 2017
End of the Spring 2017 semester.

June

Look for an email to your Adelphi account, notifying you that your Fall 17 semester e-Bill is ready to be viewed in CLASS. Adelphi will be exclusively paperless for tuition billing effective with the Fall 2017 semester.

July

If eligible for the Federal Perkins Loan or Federal Nursing Loan for the 2017-2018 academic year, recipients must sign their master promissory note (MPN) at ecsi.net/prom5r/ during the specified time-frame. Note:Nursing loan recipients must complete a MPN each individual year awarded. The MPN for the Federal Perkins loan only needs to be completed once. 
Bills are due for students who are registered for 2017 Summer Session II only. Refer to your bill for specific dates.

August

August 1, 2017

August 28, 2017
Fall 2017 classes begin.

September

Resident and international students must review health insurance requirements.

October

October 1, 2017

The 2018-2019 (Fall 2018, Spring 2019 and Summer 2019 semesters) Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available at fafsa.gov. You will be required to report 2016 income information. Adelphi’s federal school code is 002666. To receive priority consideration for maximum institutional and campus-based assistance this form must be processed by the federal government by January 1, 2018. After filing the FAFSA, New York State residents should complete the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application at hesc.ny.gov. Adelphi’s state code is 0010.

Deadline to waive health insurance requirements for resident and international students.

October 15, 2017

If you are participating in the Two-Payment Plan option, the second payment is due for Fall 2017.

The New York State Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS) application is due for Fall 2017.

November

Registration begins for Spring 2018 for undergraduate students. Check with SFS if you have questions regarding course selection and your financial aid. Students who are registered for Spring 2018 will receive their spring semester bill.

December

December 19, 2017
End of the Fall 2017 semester
