New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo introduced the ETA program in Fall 2017, offering select students an opportunity to apply for additional state funding. The ETA program provides financial assistance to selected students who are New York State residents attending a participating private college located in New York State. Recipients will receive up to $6,000 through a combination of their TAP award, New York State ETA award and a match from their institution.

How do I apply?

Complete the Enhanced Tuition Award Application online by the state’s specified deadline. (If you are a current Enhanced Tuition Awards Program recipient, you do not have to compete this application!)

How much will I receive?

Recipients of Enhanced Tuition Awards will generally receive up to $6,000 through a combination of their TAP award, ETA award and a match from their institution. The number of awards to be made under this Program is subject to the state’s available funding.

Do I have to reapply every year?

Current recipients do not need to complete a new application on an annual basis. However, all recipient must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.

Scholarships and grants are important and we know that.

Adelphi awards financial aid to 93.9 percent of its full-time undergraduates* and the average financial aid package in Fall 2019 was $27,755. Awarding more than $83 million in institutional aid, Adelphi is committed to affordability. In addition to participating in the state’s Enhanced Tuition Award program, Adelphi offers the Enhanced Assistance Grant which is available to assist eligible full-time undergraduate students, both new and continuing, by supplementing our already generous scholarship and grant awards. The award is renewable each year as long as the eligibility criteria continue to be met.
